History of Wizard X4

Founded in 1991, Wizard Productivity Systems was the vision of Morris Wiginton, a successful reseller in Denver, Colorado. Morris experienced the frustrations and challenges of software implementation and dreamed of a more effective and more efficient solution.

In the beginning, the organization was focused on creating the base development tools that would dynamically generate interview sessions while using complex logic to assure the implemented modules were properly configured. Early in 2005, the first products ever designed to completely and intuitively automate implementation of Microsoft Dynamics™ were released. These products are iConsultant® and ConvertMSTR®.

Also in 2005, Wizard experienced a change in management. Morris became ill and could no longer manage the company. In came Paul Farrell, whose background and vast experience in executive management in both large and small software development firms as well as his position as an executive at AOL made him the best person to take Wizard Productivity Systems to the next level.

Paul's first task was to complement the dedicated development and marketing staff with “likeminded” partners to help grow Wizard. Later that year, partnerships with very experienced Senior Consultants and developers were established to provide Wizard with knowledgeable people with specialized skills on an “as needed” basis. By working 30 to 50 percent of the time for Wizard and the rest of the time with Dynamics GP or SL customers, consultants maintain their product knowledge and stay current on customer trends and the latest Dynamic modules/features.

In the summer of 2006, Wizard brought to market the first ever product for documenting and tracking Dynamics GP and SL configurations (Config-TRKR ®). Later that same year Wizard entered into a partnership with an application development firm who specializes in helping to build and test enterprise-class software product applications in tight alignment with their clients.

Their dedicated team considers QA as their career and as experts on the leading testing software policies and practices. They share a passion with Wizard about improving software quality. The partnership has since extended to supplement Wizard development time with .net programming, MOSS 2007 and GP Consulting resources. Wizard is now in the process of developing similar products for other accounting solutions.

In June of 2007 Wizard launched the first ever customer Web site to enable companies to experience the power of a Microsoft Dynamics GP or SL enterprise level accounting solution at a fixed price. However, the Wizard vision continues to include a partnership with Microsoft resellers to create the best possible customer experience for the end user.

If you share our vision to ease the frustration of Microsoft Dynamics implementations, contact us to become a partner with Wizard Productivity Systems.

"Sit down, start up, set up. Even a first-time user can get up to speed on the sophisticated, step-by-step Wizard [X4 Productivity Suite] almost immediately.", said Ed Digges, Director of Management Systems for Halt, Buzas & Powell, Ltd., who used Wizard X4 Productivity Suite software during the implementation for The Starboard Group.
