Jim Tani

Jim is the VP of Development at Wizard, Jim currently oversees product development efforts at Wizard.

Prior to Wizard, Jim has enjoyed 22 years of software engineering in all aspects of the system development lifecycle. He has held senior technical and leadership positions ranging from system integration, software development, testing, operations, research and design, project management, product management, and marketing.

Most recently, at AOL/Time-Warner, Jim led development and integration teams responsible for internet-oriented technologies such as service oriented architecture (SOA), premium service billing, online commerce, customer care, and website management.

Before joining AOL, Jim led system integration and operations teams at telecommunication clients such as Teleglobe, Verizon Online, Bell Atlantic Video Systems, and TELE-TV. His team created, updated, and configured software and hardware systems to launch web hosting centers, internet service providers, and early interactive television trial systems.

Jim started his career at IBM, serving military and telecommunication industries, as well as internal IBM product development. He provided marketing support and systems engineering for customers such as Bell Atlantic and Hong Kong Telecom. Early at IBM, Jim designed and developed knowledge-based expert system applications, and awarded two patents.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Electrical Engineering at Cornell University.
